What is TrackMan?

TrackMan is a radar-based launch monitor and simulator that measures swing and ball flight data for swing analysis and club fitting in golf instruction.

TrackMan uses Doppler radar technology to capture detailed information about your swing and the golf ball's trajectory. The system tracks over 25 data points including club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and apex height, then displays this information in real time on a screen.

Golf instructors in Charlotte use TrackMan during lessons to show students exactly what their swing is producing, making it easier to identify flaws and verify improvements. The radar picks up both the club and ball movement without requiring any sensors attached to your body or equipment, so you can swing naturally without distraction.

Club fitters rely on TrackMan to match you with equipment that suits your actual swing characteristics. By seeing how different clubs perform with your specific swing metrics, a fitter can recommend shafts, heads, and lofts that optimize distance and accuracy for you rather than guessing based on swing type alone.

Beyond instruction and fitting, TrackMan includes a simulator feature that projects your shot onto a virtual course, allowing practice and play indoors. This setup lets instructors diagnose problems and track progress during off-season months or poor weather.
